November is National Family Caregivers Month! This annual tradition started out as National Family Caregiver’s Week in 1997 and has grown to encompass an entire month where we show appreciation for more than 44 million Americans who care for a family member, friend or neighbor. Chances are good that you know a caregiver!

This month, you can give support to caregivers across the country by helping to raise awareness of the challenges caregivers face, increasing support for caregivers and celebrating their efforts.

The National Alliance for Caregivers, a non-profit organization working on behalf of caregivers in the United States, has many great tips for supporting caregivers this month. The alliance works to support research, conduct policy analysis, develop national programs and advocate for the caregiving community.

Explore some of the many resources on the Alliance’s website today so you can decide how to show your appreciation for caregivers this month!
